Yael Stein, who is Australian who has been living in New York City since 2013 was the character Lorna Morrello in Orange Is the New Black. Yael was awarded her NIDA degree. Her early work experience has enabled her to interact with some of Australia's best storytellers. Yael has a very accomplished career in Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael made New York City her home in the wake of she was a part of the Brooklyn Academy of Music produced this critically-acclaimed show. Yael is co-founder the company The Cannery. The Cannery is located in Bushwick Brooklyn and operates from there to support creative writing, innovative ideas and new work.
